Job Description IT Support Tech

Cynexlink is a fast-paced Managed IT Service Provider and IT Consulting firm based in Irvine, CA with clients primarily in the Orange County area. We are looking for an enthusiastic tech savvy individual who will make a great asset to our growing company. Applicants for the IT Desktop Support position must be reliable, respectful, punctual, a team player, and love helping others. The role requires a strong knowledge of computers, broad understanding of hardware/software, operating systems, workstations, servers, and network equipment. Knowledge and understanding of Professional Service Automation (PSA) tools, remote management monitoring (RMM) tools, cloud computing, cloud services, and IT cybersecurity is preferred. Communication skills is a must as this position requires frequent interaction with clients.

 

Job description

The role requires monitoring and responding to incoming support requests via phone, email and our ticketing system as well as resolution of any tickets, escalations, and/or contact 3rd party vendors to complete the support ticket as deemed necessary. IT Technicians also handle onsite customer issues and projects on a weekly, and sometimes, daily basis. IT Technicians will also contribute to the company’s knowledgebase to maintain client documentation and troubleshooting steps.

 

Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong troubleshooting skills for various computer systems including Windows and MAC OS, and network issues
  • Ability to be a self-starter, work the issues and resolve them without being told
  • Strong computer hardware, software, and networking skills
  • Strong in-person, on-phone communication skills as well as writing
  • Excellent listening skills to understand client issues and ability to ask the right questions
  • Experience working for another IT Company and/or Managed Service Provider
  • Experience with PSA and RMM tools
  • Passion for technology and desire to help others
  • Communicate technical issues in terms that are understood by both technical and non-technical users.
  • Able to multi-task and deal with multiple clients and multiple client issues simultaneously
  • Excellent time management, organization, and ability to work under pressure
  • Independent and resourceful for finding solutions for new and/or unknown issues
  • Teachable, team player, and pays high attention to detail

 

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of IT experience working in a lead capacity to support diverse and complex IT systems
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • technical certifications preferred (A+, Networking+.)
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, including Visio
  • Must be able to think outside the box and have troubleshooting independence
  • Ability to document well for internal knowledgebase and SOPs
  • Must be able to work evening and/or weekends as deemed necessary
  • Reliable transportation and a clean driving record
  • Drug test and background check upon consideration
  • Local candidates are only accepted.

 

Knowledge of:

  • Microsoft Technologies (Workstation/Server OS, Exchange, IIS, SQL, etc.)
  • Troubleshooting of MAC OS and iPhone IOS.
  • Knowledge and expertise administering Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DFS, DHCP, etc.
  • Experience with Office 365.
  • General Networking (TCP/IP, Firewalls, Wireless Networks, Switches, Routers)
  • RMM Tools, Cisco Umbrella (OpenDNS), Proofpoint, and other various cloud-based Managed MSP services.

Job description

These marketing activities require a significant amount of self-directed research, technical writing, and creative thinking. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills along with the ability to work under deadlines are essential.

 

In the role of Marketing Assistant, we’ll count on you to:

  • Work with Sales to prepare materials, including qualifications, brochures, presentations, newsletters, proposals, award submittals, announcements and reports
  • Assist in the preparation and development of client-specific marketing efforts such as client development planning, presentations, pursuits, proposals, forms, qualifications, and brochures
  • Write project descriptions and resumes
  • Maintain the marketing database, including gathering data from technical experts and entering data
  • Provide proposal delivery and proposal support, including technical writing, editing, document assembly, production coordination, filing, note taking, and a range of other marketing tasks
  • Conduct research and distributing marketing information
  • Track forecasting metrics
  • Prepare marketing materials and reports
  • Provide support for advertising, trade shows, awards, and conferences
  • Perform graphic/multimedia support
  • Develop and coordinate graphics, write and edit layout materials
  • Research and produce technical documents and reports
  • Perform other duties as needed

 

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experience
  • 1+ year document layout and production experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Access, Photoshop, Corel
  • Excellent written and verbal skills required (grammar, technical writing/editing, information gathering, research, etc.)
  • Flexible, organized, and responsible self-starter who enjoys a dynamic, team atmosphere and is able to work with, and take direction from, multiple levels of professional staff with differing professional styles
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to organize complex content
  • Skilled at working with deadline pressure and multi-tasking without a loss in quality
  • Experience in proposal planning and coordination a must
  • Writing ability, strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to handle tight deadlines and make independent decisions critical to job success
  • Quick self-starter, team-oriented and able to work with different personalities and professional styles
  • Previous experience in the IT industry strongly desired
