Beyoncé Sued For Website Infraction

“Beyonce Knowles’ company Parkwood Entertainment has been hit with a class-action lawsuit claiming Beyonce.com violates the Americans With Disabilities Act by denying visually impaired users equal access to products and services offered on the site,” explained the Hollywood Reporter.

A visually impaired woman insists that she needs assistance with the site when trying to navigate. The New York woman, Mary Conner, says she has “no vision whatsoever,” in her filed paperwork, and wants to be the voice of the millions of music connoisseurs who share the same impairment.

“The one and only form of entertainment that truly presents an even playing field between the visually impaired and the sighted is the joy of music,” attorney Dan Shaked states in his complaint. “Plaintiff dreams of attending a Beyonce concert and listening to her music in a live setting. However, when she browsed the Beyonce.com website, she encountered numerous barriers which limited her accessibility to the goods and services offered on the website.”

In light of various other inadequacies with the Parkwood Entertainment site, Conner is asking for adjustments to be made, in addition to seeking financial compensations for class act members affected by this inconvenience.
